What Documents do I need to get my number plates

Several years ago, the DVLA implemented protocols to restrict the distribution of number plates exclusively to accredited suppliers. This measure was taken to prevent potential fraudulent activities related to number plates, such as vehicle cloning, evading payment for fuel, and incurring speeding fines.

As an authorised DVLA number plate provider, we are obligated to verify both your identity and your legal entitlement to use the registration plate we supply. While we understand this might cause inconvenience, our goal is to streamline this process as much as possible.

Ensuring your identity and eligibility to use the number plate is crucial and mandated by law.

To validate your identity, we require one of the following documents:

- A Driving License

- A utility bill or council tax statement issued within the last 6 months.

- A Bank or building society statement dated within the last 6 months.

To confirm ownership of the vehicle for which you're acquiring new plates, we need one of the following documents:

- A vehicle registration certificate (V5C, V5CNI)

- The new keeper supplement (V5C/2, V5C/2NI)

- Certificate of entitlement to the number (V750, V750NI)

- A retention document (V778)

- A renewal reminder for vehicle tax or SORN (V11 or V11NI)

- A temporary registration certificate (V379 or V379NI)

- A number plate authorization certificate (V948) stamped by the DVLA or DVSA

- An electronic number plate authorization certificate (eV948)

As a legal supplier of number plates, we are unable to dispatch your plates until we have verified the aforementioned proofs.
